Rage And Then Some, One Day Later

Beth, of My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, has put up her September 11 post - a day late.

Her post is filled with rage, on the surface. It would be easy to read it and see it that way. In fact, as with most of what Beth writes, there is more than what meets the eye.

Her rage isn't only about what is clearly outrageous or at those things that can be clearly defined as evil. Beth clearly defines the frustration- and the poignancy of those things that need not be- those things, that with a bit of effort, can make a difference and the accompanying hypocrisy.
They train their children to hate and murder, even to be “martyrs” (martyr, my ass) –but if martyrdom is so great, why aren't their older leaders doing it? They see no difference between the Crusaders of history and my six year-old daughter –to the radical Islamists, they are equally worthy of murder.
The clear distinction between right and wrong is evident to Beth, and should be to everyone else, as well.
Yet we- free nation that we are, contrary to the America-bashing left –allow schools that teach MURDER in this country, and befriend those who finance said schools. We allow the teaching of murderous ideology in our prisons hardly a haven for peaceful people to begin with –and then turn these converts/convicts out on our streets, into our back yards.
It is hard to argue her point- how can we allow the teaching of hate- and worse, 'in our own backyards.'

We have said before that America and Americans enjoy the greatest freedom of all- the freedom from fear.

We live in a society, that to a large extent remains oblivious to those who have painted a bullseye on our country, simply because they believe we won't fight back. They believe that what this nation has built and created, are no more than booty for them, the for teh taking because we don't have the stomach or will to defend ourselves. They believe they have the right to take from us what they will, simply because they can.

Yes, Beth is outraged, as she says in her post. She is outraged, and then some- and not just at our adversaries- and that makes her outrage all the more poignant.
