Teddy Picasso And Joe Dali

The Senate Judiciary Committee's doing it's job in providing a forum for the confirmation hearing of John Roberts is a good thing.

How the individual senators do their job, however, is another matter.

Teddy Kennedy's indignation at those 'left behind' as part of his long winded, self serving soliloquy in front of the camera, is at best, a poor choice of words on his part, among other things (see this post at The Anchoress, for an interesting look at what has become a rare commodity- reality).

Finally, with respect to Joe Biden, let's get real. His moral outrage and condemnation of Mr Roberts is a bit out of whack, to say the least.

Mr Biden's legacy will include a few instances of plagiarism, which he denied until he was finally confronted with the evidence. He had plagarized from Neil Kinnock and Robert Kennedy. He even inflated his own academic achievements.

That Mr Roberts wishes not to answer questions that he feels might have an influence on his opinions as a Supreme Court Justice, reflects well on his integrity and judgment- unlike Mr Biden, who has a history of shooting his mouth off without regard to accuracy, integrity and honesty.

It's like living in a surreal painting.

The Anchoress talks about her aunt's take on Joe Biden. Like the lady from New Orleans that noted that 'You can be sure those buses were runnin' on election day,' The Anchoress' aunt is rather succint.
