Now Warming Up In The Bullpen

"Let the games begin."

Alexandra, of All Things Beautiful, notes the next race for the White House is in full swing. Her post, Daily Kos Is A Mouthpiece For Kerry's Campaign, notes some of the first shots fired in the battle to come. After Kos posted some Kerry remarks, Alexandra wryly notes that
No Mr. Kerry what is outrageous and should not sit well with anyone is that the Daily Kos, run by Democratic Consultant Markos Moulitsas, is publishing John Kerry's election speech drafts. The same Daily Kos, whose main post today is linked to Atrios' "Wanker Of The Day" (referring to the Editor of WaPo online). Perhaps the former Democrat nominee for President will contribute to one of those posts next. What I will guarantee you is that somewhere on the same main page at some point will sit both posts. Currently Kerry is sitting above "Shit Eating Collaborator Monkeys".
The former (and more than likely next) Democrat candidate for president is quite comfortable wallowing in pig slop. In fact, he seems to revel in it. Alexandra goes on to note that
When Democratic voters dropped Dean as unelectable and embraced John Kerry as the most readily available instrument to beat George W. Bush, Kerry inherited Dean's Internet constituency. No one expected the Kerry campaign to raise more money than the Bush campaign. But it did, because of the Internet.
When it was all said and done, Kerry still lost the election. The Kos Kidz still cannot fathom why anyone would have a different worldview than they do. They referred to those of different opinion as 'stupid' and of the 'need to take the right to vote away' from anyone who thinks differently than they.

A comment by an 'under the ether' critic of the President's is a fine example of the disconnect from reality and deceit found in the remarks of commenter, Ghost Dansing. He/She references and alludes to innuendo as gospel, the 'false but true' as relevant, because saying/believing so make one feel better and supports a particular agenda.

He/she makes no reference to reality- the wiretap issues have been decided, and the innuendo (most often cited by the conspiracy theory whackjobs) that Mr Bush invaded Iraq using bin Laden and terror as pretext is presented as fact.

Rather than making the effort to put forth an intelligent case or argument, commenter Ghost Dansing is perfectly happy to remain in a pretend state of blissful arousal, predicated by the pornography posing as art. In the end however, there is only so long you can camouflage impotence and the inability to perform, no matter how mighty the boast and bluster. Just ask Teddy Kennedy.

Is it any wonder why they can't win an election on ideas?
