*UPDATE* Moheddy Kennedy, Samuel Alito And Ariel Sharon
Senators Kennedy and Schumer are at the forefront of the plan to Arabize the Democrat party. Simply put, as evidenced by the Alito hearings, these Senators are presenting politics Arab style. The behavior of Senators Kennedy and Schumer are reminiscent of Arafat style politicking. They say one thing for the cameras, meant to imply their reasonableness and commitment to civilized behavior, but when it comes down to reality, it is the blatant acts of corruption and deceit that most clearly offer insight who these 'peoples representatives' really are.
Before Mr Alito answered a single question, he had to take an oath to tell the truth as best he could, and not misrepresent the facts as he knew or understood them, or his beliefs.
We would submit that those Senators take that same oath, because clearly, the level of deceit and fraud has now reached Arab proportions. If the Senators had to take the same oath as Mr Alito, this circus would not be taking place.
Moheddy Kennedy's obsession with the Vanguard case and presenting it as if there were a moral lapse on the part of Mr Alito, is nothing short of a deliberate attempt to deceive the public and to deliberately misrepresent the facts of the case. In other words, if Moheddy Kennedy were under oath, he'd be guilty of perjury.
The Vanguard case is clear. The case was about which of two people Vanguard needed to pay so as to settle a lawsuit. The suit in no way involved Vanguard as a party to the lawsuit. As the custodian of the monies involved, Vanguard's only involvement was to make out a check and address an envelope. Moheddy Kennedy has been careful to hide those truths. In addition, Moheddy Kennedy has studiously avoided criticizing the legal ethicists that have declared Mr Alito as having behaved more than ethically in the matter.
Senators Kennedy and Schumer want to present Samuel Alito in the same way the Arabs present Ariel Sharon. They want to vilify him for doing exactly what he is supposed to do- defend the nation and the nation's law. They consider themselves above criticism, even for their transgressions and deceit. In fact, they would have you believe they are entitled to such deceit, because their agenda trumps all.
Ariel Sharon is hated in the Arab world because he responded to Arab threats. The Arab world threatened to slaughter Jews and have streets run red with Jewish blood. Ariel Sharon prevented that from happening and is thus hated by the Arabs. It really is that simple. In fact, it wasn't only Israeli blood that was to run deep. After decades of oppression and mistreatment, the Christian Phalange went into the Sabra and Shatilla refugee camps and exacted revenge for decades of oppression, hatred and violence committed against them.
Like many Arabs, many Democrats believe themselves to be superior to all.
Samuel Alito in the eyes of some Democrats, has become Ariel Sharon, reviled and hated because his views differ than their own- and even worse, Alito demands accountability. He will not accept an ideology, simply because it is handed down from 'on High'. In the eyes of his opponents, Alito is Ariel Sharon, in that he defends those very principles that define his nation. Worst of all, he does so within the law and in his courtroom. Mr Alito has committed to be of open mind and refuses to commit to a particular agenda. Mr Alito will not impose his beliefs and agenda on the American people and that too, threatens Moheddy Kennedy and his ilk. They would much rather see their agenda imposed without pesky debate. Like the Arabs, Moheddy Kennedy, et al, know what is best for the stupid American people. The likes of Samuel Alito on the Supreme Court of the United States is anathema to them.
In the eyes of other Americans, Alito is a hero, because he does exactly what he is supposed to do. He will not give one party or another in his courtroom a distinct advantage, he listens to all sides, keeps an open mind and his rulings and decisions are based on the Law and not any particular agenda.
No wonder Moheddy Kennedy hates him.
*UPDATE*This, from Newsweek, published online 2 hours ago under the MSNBC banner:
Both Biden and Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, D-Fla., an anti-Alito witness before the committee, compared Alito’s membership in CAP with membership in the Ku Klux Klan, which lynched blacks in the South. “I take him at his word that he didn't know what the group stood for,” Biden told Today Show host Katie Couric. “But I'm sure required to ask him, just like me asking you, `Katie, were you ever a member of the Ku Klux Klan?’”Apparently, Robert Byrd's active participation in the Klan and his defence of the Klan is of no concern to Biden or Wasserman-Schultz. Of course, Biden, charter member of the Congressuional Palgiarism Hall of Fame, has had uttered more suspect remarks:
Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.), who grilled Samuel Alito '72 about his CAP membership, also said that he "wasn't a big Princeton fan."
"I didn't even like Princeton," he said, to laughter from the gallery. "I mean, I really didn't like Princeton. I was an Irish Catholic kid who thought it had not changed like you concluded it had," referring to Alito's earlier statement that Princeton had changed its traditional ways before he enrolled.Go get 'em, Joe.
But Biden had nothing but praise for the University in a 2004 speech at the Wilson School.
"It's an honor to be here," he told the audience. "It would have been an even greater honor to have come here."
Biden also said yesterday: "One of my real dilemmas is I have two kids who went to Ivy League schools. I'm not sure my Grandfather Finnegan will ever forgive me for allowing that to happen."
But in his speech at Princeton, he said, "I have three children who have mercifully all finally completed undergraduate and graduate school. And I tried to get all three of them to apply here."
He went on to recall how he tried to convince them to attend Princeton, but because they didn't, he's "counting on his grandchildren."
As we have noted, it isn't only nominees that ought to take an oath to tell the truth. Of course, as Dingo remarks in the comment section, that may prove to be against nature.
