Why The West Fiddles As Hizbollah Burns

Critics of the Israeli invasion in Lebanon are working themselves into a near hysterical frenzy, demanding the UN cobble together some kind of ceasefire that can be jammed down Israel'ls throat.

(For some odd reason, despite the death of over two million in Sudan over the last two decades, the UN has not shown the same concern for the victims of the Arab Janjaweed in Darfur. We wonder why that is.)

In fact, even the countries that are critical of Israel- Russia and France come immediately to mind- are rather lethargic about that critique. The diplomatic and UN delegations of most western nations clearly lack enthusiasm and drive when it comes to actually making ceasefires on both the Hamas and Hizbollah fronts, priorities. Sure, they may excoriate Israel publicly, but the proof is in the pudding. There is a 'nod nod, wink wink,' when it comes to Israel's efforts to eliminate the terror, mayhem, murder and violence that have become the perverted political nd religious obligations to a whole subculture of a population, made dysfunctional by design, so that the evil and corrupt agenda of a few might be realized, supported and protected.

Europe and the western world are dragging their feet in demanding a ceasefire because it is in their best interest.

As long as the fury of much of the Muslim world was focused outwards (primarily toward Israel and America), Europe and other western nations could afford to ignore and remain oblivious to the very real issues and challenges they face. They did not want to deal with the thorny issue of why democratic values were rejected in favor of clearly evil agendas.

The riots in Europe last summer changed all that. Poisonous vitriol that was reserved for Israel, America and Jews, could at a moments notice, be directed towards anyone with whom they didn't see eye to eye. Vicious and violent rhetoric escalated to mayhem in the streets when cartoons were published. Paris burned, despite the largesse of cradle to grave welfare benefits that are the hallmark of French socialism.

The whole world watched, as Europe was blackmailed on the nightly news, precluded from responding to nothing more than criminal behavior because of threat of even more violence. A great lesson learned learned and a wake up call- Exhortations to SLAUGHTER THE JEWS! could just as quickly become SLAUGHTER THE FRENCH! or SLAUGHTER THE DANES! The seeds to perpetual blackmail had been planted. As far as Europe and the west were concerned, 'ITBACH Al YAHUD" was no longer an acceptable form of political or religious expression.

It is easier to hate than it is to study engineering. It is easier to throw stones that it is to go to school. It is easier to blackmail and hold hostage than it is to become a contributing part of a fully functioning society. These were not lessons learned in Europe. These were lessons learned in the Middle East. They are nothing more than the ideologies of the criminal enterprises that are Hamas and Hizbollah.

Why is the only success the Arab world has ever known been the hatred of Jews, Israel and America? Because it is a lot easier to hate Jews, Israel and America than it is to build a functioning and civilized society.

Europe and the western nations will wait a few more days or weeks and shed no tears if Hamas and Hizbollah are seen to be failures that brought about ruin, instead of success.
