'Stupid Train' Conductor

SC&A have been banned by Glenn Greewald, the intellectually (and credential) challenged voice of the less than bright left wing of the liberal ideologues (you know, the one's who need pictures on fast food menus).

Why have we been so honored? Simply stated, we pointed out Greenwald's intellectual impotence- and had the temerity to do so in a public forum- in a comment. In a somewhat mediocre post, Mr Greenald attempts what for him is impossible- reasonable, rational and intelligent analysis. In his post, Peggy Noonan's Poetic Love Of Dissent, Civility And Grace, Greenwald displays his mental flaccidity for all the world to see. With crayon in hand, scratches out a few 'thoughts':

And then we have this person, who holds herself out as a psychologist and abuses her license by spending every day purporting to diagnose those who disagree with her political views as suffering from various mental illnesses. But she wants you to know that she agrees wholeheartedly with Peggy Noonan's column today, and to underscore her agreement with Noonan, she says -- all in one post -- that the left has suffered a "rapid and unprecedented decline into wholesale intellectual and moral bankruptcy," that "it has transformed itself into a vehicle enabling for the implementation of evil throughout the world," that "the left has degenerated into a movement that has not only abandoned reality, they have jettisoned reason and critical thinking," that "the left" is composed of "bleeding narcissists," and, finally, "the mind of the left has turned to mush."

Greenwald's remarks only serve to reinforce what his critics have to say about him- he is indeed a 'lightweight.'

Perhaps had Mr Greenwald read the Dr Sanity post out loud, with his index finger underscoring each word as he read that post, he would see that nowhere in the post did Dr Sanity actually discuss Noonan's piece. In fact, she only makes a passing reference to the column.

That is someone who claims, with no irony, to agree with Peggy Noonan's plea for civility and grace in our political discourse (the virtues of "listening to the other person with respect and forbearance, and with an acceptance of human diversity"). How can someone say they agree with Noonan's column and then, in the same post, proceed to spew out one venomous insult after the next without being cognizant of the contradiction? How does that observation escape someone? Then again, Peggy Noonan wrote a column today purporting to be so upset by the lack of dissent tolerance and civility, and pointed to the left in order to make her case, so anything is possible.

Why is all this relevant? Because Greenwald underscores why he is so ineffectual at attracting anyone other than GED crowd.

Even as Greenwald excoriates the well credentialed Dr Sanity. He derisively refers to her a because she

...proceed to spew out one venomous insult after the next without being cognizant of the contradiction? How does that observation escape someone?

Glenn Greenwald fails to see his own projection and pathology. He feels the need to question Dr Sanity's credentials (speaking of credentials, Glenn...) and accuses her of doing exactly what he does, day in and day out- demean those who disagree with his own worldview. He also attempts to obfuscate the distinctions made by Dr Sanity's (and others) between classical liberals and leftists:

In fact Mr Greenwald cannot abide the reality that Dr Sanity's credentials (unlike those he presented) are beyond reproach. Furthermore, Mr Greenwald cannot abide another truth- that Dr Sanity is far more qualified to remark on mental health than he will ever be, for any number of reasons.

When we pointed out Mr Greenwald's shortcomings in the same kind of language he uses, he took great offense. He just cannot seem to grasp onto reality for any extended period of time.

This morning we wrote ALL ABOARD! The Stupid Train Is Leaving The Station!, in which we remarked that

Poll after poll show that Americans reject out of hand the attempt by the Democrat party to convince voters into supporting their ideologies promulgated by that party’s left wing (that apparently included sending Democrat operatives to the funerals of soldiers slain in Iraq).

Instead, voters are responding to to a sex scandal, just one of many scandals that plague both Houses of Congress.

Try as they might, the Democrats could not sway middle America with ideas that were not existent or bias that was nothing short of hate. Only a sex scandal (some would argue the scandal waschoreographed and timed by some Dems) seemed to stir the electorate. That is best highlighted by Greenwald's post, Bush Followers Outraged Over The Political Use Of Homosexuality And Sex- Seriously. In his post, Greenwald scribbles a lot a of drivel, but fails to discuss the policy- or morality- of 'outing' anyone against their will. His remarks are designed to appeal to his GED constituents:

The word "hypocrisy" is nowhere near sufficient to describe their reaction to the Craig outing. It is far beyond that.

That was deep, Glenn.

No doubt Greenwald will be all over the idea of finally getting to the bottom of the Teddy 'I forgot to call the police' Kennedy/Mary Jo Kopechne story.

We can't think of anyone with better credentials to do just that- seriously.
