The SC&A Idiot’s Guide To ME Psychopathy
There have been recent reports by the Syrians of Israeli violation of Syrian airspace. According to the latest Syrian news reports, "the planes either entered Syrian airspace to take photographs or in error." This is sharp contrast to earlier Syrian bravado, when according to a government spokesman "Air defence units confronted them and forced them to leave after they dropped some ammunition in deserted areas without causing any human or material damage."
The spokesman did not clarify exactly why the Israelis would dump their ammunition over barren territory, as opposed to just flying home, ammunition intact.
We have noted in a recent article at Pajamas Media, that
Psychopathic behaviors enter the picture when individuals [and groups], confronted by the painful truth about themselves, refuse to acknowledge and deal with that truth and are unable to see others except as extensions of their own wishes, feelings, or needs. A political agenda that embraces hate and racism and then projects that evil onto others, demonizing and dehumanizing them, is a psycho-pathological political agenda.
The level of psychopathy in the Arab world can be measured by just how many actually believe that the destruction of Israel is within reach. That psychopathy also can be observed by just how many in the Arab world really believe that Israel seeks their destruction. As we have noted many times, this kind of psychopathy has been deliberately induced by dysfunctional Arab leaders, intent only on preserving the status quo. For them, a healthy and educated population is a dangerous population.
Let's examine reality:Israel has 200-300 nuclear warheads. In a post Holocaust world, the message is clear: If the next existential threat to millions of Jews becomes real, they will eliminate the source of those threats. Period. In addition, if the Israelis really wanted to 'eliminate' the Arabs, they have the wherewithal to do just that.
In fact, it is just the opposite that is true. The Israelis want to be left alone. They are a first world country surrounded by failed third world regimes that have been led by dysfunctional and murderous leaders for decades. The fact that Arab world has refused to recognize and extend diplomatic recognition to Israel, is meaningless. Israel maintains world class bilateral diplomatic, scientific, educational and economic ties with every major nation on earth.
Israel is not suffering because the Arab world refuses to acknowledge her existence. In fact, it is the other way around.
By contrast, there are no major Arab nations that belong to the World Trade Organization, a group that whose membership from virtually every nation in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
The reality is that Arab world animus directed at Israel only serves the dysfunctional Arab world leadership. As long as outrage and frustrations are focused outward, toward Israel, Arab regimes will remain unaccountable to their citizens. In reality, the elimination of Israel would be catastrophic for Arab leaders. Rage that was focused outward would be turned inward. They would eventually be made to pay for decades of repression, oppression, educational and economic disasters.
This kind of thinking and broken ideology is not unique to various Arab regimes only. The much vaunted Arab League is an institution whose very raison d'etre is to maintain the status quo in the Arab world and to support the regimes of dysfunctional Arab leaders. The Arab League has never sponsored or initiated a single functional program that would create jobs, bring education or instill basic rights into any ant Arab regime.
The dysfunctional leaders of the Arab Middle East would have you believe the fantasy that 'western policies' are at the heart of the region's Israel-Palestine troubles and if only those policies would change, there would be peace in the region.
In fact, western foreign policies have been remarkably consistent, irrespective of who led the free nations. The UN, EU, Quartet and virtually every western foreign policy in the Middle East is predicated on three linchpins, all dating from 1948:
- Diplomatic recognition
- Cessation of violence
- Secure and defensible borders.
Which of those ideas are so intolerable to Arab world sensibilities? If those benchmarks were met, the gates of western wealth would be open to the Palestinians.
Why on earth would they choose conflict over peace?
Simply stated, there are many Arabs (encouraged by their leaders) who do not want peace. For them, the promises of genocide toward Jews and the eradication of Israel take priority over developing a functional and productive state (this should come as no surprise. These ideologies are taught in schools, broadcast in media and often preached from the pulpit, by religious 'leaders' paid by the state).
Virtually none of the Arab world regimes want a peaceful resolution of the Arab/Palestinian-Israeli conflict. They do want that conflict low key and always simmering, to dissipate the 'heat' in their own countries. They want to appear 'acceptable' and 'reasonable' to the west and at the same time they want to direct vicious hate and rhetoric outward.
The longer the regimes keep people in the dark, the longer these regimes will exist.
To deny these truths is to deny reality- and that kind of denial is the precursor to real psychopathy.
